Seek, a social app that lets users find unique and trusted recommendations from local, like-minded curators launched recently in the New York City Tri-state area and today, our Seek Curator, Karina (@wanderlustandcompass), is sharing her best places to have an anniversary dinner!
Let’s be honest- anniversaries are a big deal and should be celebrated as such.
Your local, go-to place is not going to cut it. Ambiance, decor and, of course, food are just some of the things our Seek Curator, Karina, points to as reasons she chose the places she did.
Let’s take a look at what else she has to say:
1. Gramercy Tavern
42 E. 20th St

Gramercy Tavern, located in the very prestigious Flatiron District, between Broadway and Park Avenue South, is an iconic institution that never fails to wow.
Karina says in her rec, “One of NYC’s greatest restaurants. You must try at least once in a New York City lifetime. Great for special date nights (e.g. celebrating anniversaries)- leave the kids home with a babysitter.”
We agree, Karina.
Gramercy is definitely not a place to bring young children, and don’t forget to dress your best!
2. Noda
6 W. 28th St.

Noda is about to open in its new location near Madison Park and promises to be even more ultra-luxurious than its former location.
The delectable dishes are more art than mere food and Karina says in her rec, “Noda is one of the best sushi experiences I have had in New York. There is very limited seating, which means you are guaranteed almost exclusive attention at the sushi bar. The attention to detail placed on the food, drinks, and atmosphere is incredible.”
Karina says to leave the little ones with a sitter. The kids will thank you, as will the patrons.
3. Ram’s Head Inn
108 Rams Island Dr., Shelter Island Heights

Ram’s Head Inn is located on beautiful Shelter Island and definitely worth the water taxi ride (or private boat) over.
Open all-year-round, Karina recommends hitting this restaurant in warmer weather so you can sit outside and enjoy everything the inn has to offer.
“Gem of a restaurant in Shelter Island. Great ambiance and food for an anniversary dinner in the summer, in an updated yet old-world setting. Make sure to dine outside on the patio to see the extra dreamy sunset colors.”
The website says the food is, “farm/sea-to-table dining”, and the inn features live music, private event spaces, spa services and guest rooms.
We say sleepover!
