New York City Shops

Summer is finally here and New Yorkers are hitting the streets with their best outfits all summer long! In case you need a new fit for that rooftop you’ve been planning to go to, or just want to change your look, we’ve gathered a list of some of our favorite shops we think might make you stand out the next time you hit the NYC streets.

1. Vintage by Round Two

138 Ludlow St, New York, NY 10002

Rec by: @endoftheworldvintage38

If you’re a t-shirt collector, connoisseur, or need new vintage pieces to go out this summer, Vintage by Round Two is the go-to spot. Here you can find every type of t-shirt you can think of—t-shirts with artists, bands, cartoons, art and so much more. @endoftheworldvintage says “They also buy, sell and trade, so if you have any dope tees in the closet that have not seen the light of day in a while, bring them in case you see anything in the store you like.” Also, keep up with their socials to find their newest items before they’re gone!

2. Housing Works Thrift Shop

266 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215

Rec by: @wanderlusthrift

With multiple locations throughout the city, Housing Works Thrift Shops offers a variety of clothing options at a discounted price and you might even find the right item to decorate your apartment or house with. “Not only are the clothing reasonably priced, but the mission of this business is to end AIDS and homelessness through its advocacy project coupled with donations” says our thrift shop expert @wanderlusthrift. You can also find brands such as COS, BCBG Max Azria or Troy Burch in the Park Slope location.

3. BAGGU

242 Wythe Avenue #4 Entrance on North 3rd St between Wythe &, Kent Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249

Rec by: @btalksbeauty

Do you ever find yourself looking in the mirror and although you love your outfit, you feel like something is missing? BAGGU might be the solution for you! Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood, BAGGU offers a wide selection of fun, colorful and bright reusable bags! Our curator, @btalksbeauty says “they have the prettiest prints and are very affordable. They also sell other pieces like bath towels, hats and socks, all with different and fun prints.” Make sure to check them out and find that missing piece to complete your look!

4. Plus BKLYN

490 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Rec by: @gracegetsdressed

Plus BKLYN is New York City’s only plus size boutique selling new, vintage & resale fashions. They feature bold and trendy downtown styles (and outrageous accessories) with a focus on sustainability & second-hand goods for women sizes 12+. Plus BKLYN’s owner Akexus Krase struggled to find affordable, accessible and sustainable clothing options for years, so she decided to create a solution of her own. Our curator @gracegetsdressed says “Choose from vintage and consignment pieces ranging from XL-6X, while the most wonderful staff gasses you up!” And who doesn’t love to get gassed up?! Follow their socials to get pieces ahead of time!

5. Rogue

53 Stanton St, New York, NY 10002

Rec by: @daniellepaterson

Rogue is a spot with very niche vintage pieces. Located in the Lower East Side, Rogue is a small yet iconic vintage buyer and sourcer, offering t-shirts, hats and accessories. @daniellepaterson says “Rogue also hosts a lot of fashion collaboration events and sales, and maintains a very welcoming and relaxed vibe.” So be on the lookout for their next event.
