Top Jazz Shows in NYC

There’s nothing that feels more classy than a live jazz show in NYC, home to a historically vibrant jazz scene that fostered many famous jazz musicians. Whether you are a seasoned jazz listener or a newbie jazz fan who is always looking for a “jazz show near me,” this list of jazz shows and venues will definitely impress you. It even features a few special recommendations from award-winning jazz vocalist Lynette Washington (@lynettewashingtonvocalist), who performed for two of our past events!

Jazzmobile is a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to putting on high-quality jazz performances, in addition to educational programs and workshops, for the community. Each summer they present their annual Summerfest, which is the longest-running jazz festival in NYC, and a festival that Lynette Washington highly recommends attending. The festival features free concerts and stages in all five boroughs. Take advantage of these amazing concerts through September 23!

131 W 3rd St, New York, NY 10012

Located in Greenwich Village (and recommended by Lynette Washington), Blue Note is a famous jazz club and restaurant in New York City, hosting big names in jazz. The intimate club venue seats around 150 and creates a comfortable setting for jazz artists and fans alike. Since it was founded in 1981, the club has focused on giving local, up-and-coming artists a stage to perform. Make sure to get there early to get a good seat, since the venue can get pretty crowded!

2751 Broadway, New York, NY 10025

Smoke Jazz & Supper Club is located on the Upper West Side, where you can enjoy a full menu alongside great acoustics. Many renowned jazz musicians have passed through the doors of Smoke, where they now host a variety of artists from esteemed artists to talented newcomers. The venue is made up of two rooms, a candlelit dining room and a lounge with a bar, so you can choose a new vibe every time you visit.

10 Columbus Cir, New York, NY 10023

Lynette also noted Jazz at Lincoln Center as a great place to look for the best jazz shows. It offers various jazz programs and concerts with award-winning vocalists and groups. You can enjoy live jazz performances with the backdrop of Manhattan’s skyline at their venue, Dizzy’s Club. Jazz at Lincoln Center is actually located inside the mall at Columbus Circle, so keep that in mind when heading to the venue.

As part of Seek’s Showcase Series, Seek has invited a variety of local talent, including stunning jazz artists and singers, to perform at our exclusive events.
