New York City Pub Crawl

Discover where to day drink in NYC this summer! With summer just around the corner, pubs are now filling up more and more, and it’s a scene in NYC absolutely worth trying out. Here is a list of top pubs for day drinking from Seek’s very own curator, @nycbypub, an Irish American who has made it his mission to document NYC’s Irish pub scene, history, and culture and how it compares to those at home in Dublin. Cheers to a perfect summer day in the city that never sleeps! 🍻

56 Greenwich Ave, New York, NY 10011

Fiddlesticks is a Greenwich Village based pub offering a traditional and alluring arrangement of food and drinks with a wood-finished bar. The large selection of beers and cocktails means there is always something enticing available and with vegetarian options such as a falafel burger, multiple palette options are supported. Wednesday through Saturday there are fun music performances by local artists which make for an unforgettable experience. PS - it can get quite rowdy here later in the week so be prepared!

152 7th Ave, New York, NY 10011

Peter McManus is a Chelsea Pub that has been around for over 75 years and offers lots of Irish American fare at great prices. Time Out New York has awarded McManus’ excellent burger twice. Wash it down with an assortment of beers, whiskey, and scotch options. They have lots of beer options by the pint, such as Guinness, Brooklyn Lager, and Kona Big Wave. They also have a rentable space for a party or something smaller such as a work team gathering!

120 Cedar St, New York, NY 10006

Settled right near the 9/11 memorial, O’Hara’s was a meeting point for some first responders and has remained a neighborhood staple. 343 perished firefighters’ pictures and names are proudly displayed near the front door in conjunction with firefighter, police, and military decorations. Their menu is full of classic pub staples like pastrami on rye, nachos, and burgers. There are salad options as well for those who are looking for a gluten free choice.

34 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003

Swift Hibernian Lounge has over eleven different draft beers and ten by the bottle, which makes it almost impossible for them to not have a beer you’ll like. They also have lots of other drink varieties such as cocktails and other spirits. Try their flatbreads or charcuterie board for some excellent snacking at an affordable price. The darker decor makes for a very classic and intimate setting, perfect for a group of friends going out for a late-night brew. They occasionally host events, such as St. Patrick’s Day trivia, so be on the lookout for spontaneous events!

287 3rd Ave, New York, NY 100105

Enter a bright and colorfully lit space where you’re able to drink and order food whether it’s for an 11:00 am brunch or a midnight pub run. With large menus at all times of day, you can very reliably walk into Molly’s and have an excellent time. While you can eat whenever, they have a particularly loaded late-night menu with delicious pub fare like mozzarella sticks, burgers, and hot wings.
