Places to Dine Outdoors in Spring

Looking for the best birthday restaurants in NYC to enjoy outdoor dining this spring? Look no further! Seek Curator Nicholas has curated a list of top-notch spots with great views, a nice breeze, and, most importantly, delicious meals. Don't miss out on the perfect celebration ambiance - check out these sought-after outdoor dining spots now!

52 Gansevoort St, New York, NY 10014

Located in Meatpacking District, Pastis has become sort of an iconic place thanks to the earlier days of Sex and the City. The show was filmed at least twice in the restaurant. A great place for brunch and to be “seen,” you can sit inside or out along the sidewalk. The menu is mostly French food, and patrons agree that you feel like you are in a French bistro when you sit inside, which is why our Seek Curator, Nicholas says Pastis has, “great food and amazing ambiance.” We should all get an opportunity to feel like Carrie Bradshaw at least once.

181 Thompson St, New York, NY 10012

One of the city’s hottest Italian restaurants, everything here is top of the line, boasting impeccable service and out of this world food. The outdoor dining is year-round during covid but that doesn’t mean it’s still not almost impossible to get a reservation. Reservations go up online 30 days beforehand, so make sure you plan ahead. If you are lucky enough to snag a res, make sure to keep your eyes peeled, as it is rumored that quite a few celebs frequent Carbone.

1150 Broadway (as well as three other locations in NYC)

Sometimes a rec on our app is so thorough and well thought out that we simply need to quote the curator as is. This is the case for Nick’s rec for The Smith. “I love The Smith. They have an AMAZING burger, but truly all of the food is incredible. It’s pretty well known among locals. The best part is the service is incredible at every location. My go-to menu options are either the burger or the salmon with mashed potatoes, I couldn’t speak more highly about either one. Pro tip: the one in Lincoln Center is a great spot to go before or after a show at the met opera!”

Outdoor dining is year-round and offered at all three locations (please call the restaurant to confirm before heading out).
