Seek's Favorite Irish Pubs

There is not much to look forward to in March. The weather is still iffy in the North East and all the major holidays are behind us. I think this is why everyone is suddenly Irish on St Patty’s Day. Whether you are looking for an Irish Pub in your neighborhood or looking to expand your horizons with a pub not yet explored, Seek has recs for where to day drink in NYC on St. Patty’s Day!

402 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001

When you walk into the Molly Wee, you feel like you are in Ireland and not in Manhattan. That might be because the pub, which opened in 1980, is very similar to the Molly Wee (the sister pub) in Ireland. You will find traditional Irish fare like fish n chips as well as burgers and shepherd's pie. This place gets more crowded on St Patrick’s Day than any other day of the year, so plan ahead and start the holiday early!

267 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016

Located in the heart of Murray Hill, this place is easy to find- even when you have had a few. The two-floor red storefront welcomes you like an old friend and once you walk in, it is just as welcoming. The menu has traditional Irish food and drinks as well as your typical bar food appetizers, so there is something for everyone. Mulligan’s is open until 4am Wednesday through Saturday, so if you are making the rounds on St Pattys Day, this one might be the one you go to last.

1361 1st Ave., New York, NY 10021

The last great pub in New York according to their website and we tend to agree that this is one of the most authentic Irish experiences you can have in the city. The old school green awning and white facade instantly transport you out of the US and into Ireland. Traditional Irish food and drinks are what’s on tap here, and Finnegan’s is known for their friendly bartenders so make sure to treat them with kindness (and generous tips) in return!
